Sunday School

sunday school

Sunday School is an important part of Hebron Gospel Hall life and has been for over 40 years. Each week we have a Sunday School at 3.30-4.30pm and a Children's Meeting on Tuesday evening (during term time) from 6.30-7.30pm. (A free lift is available door to door in the Gospel Hall's minibuses).

On Sundays the children spend half of the time together as one group. We sing, learn memory verses and play quizzes that keep them on their toes. At 4.00pm we break up into classes.

5's and under are looked after by Mrs. Rebecca Ellery who tells a story and gives the children a colouring or simple craft to do. 6-8's are taught by Mr. Graham Keene; 9-11's by Mr. Thomas West and 12-14s by Mr. Martin Wyatt. All of these classes are tailored to the age and understanding of the group and are aimed at introducing the children to the message and meaning of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A teenage/adult Bible class is led by Mr Michael Penfold which aims to systematically teach Bible doctrine each week and build up believers in their understanding and application of scripture.

On Tuesdays we have an 'open' session, with all ages staying together from start to finish. There are a good number of adults present each time we have a children's session (both on Sundays and Tuesdays). We encourage an environment that is happy and enjoyable but ordered and geared towards learning at the same time.

Please feel free to come and see what Sunday School is like at Hebron Gospel Hall in the near future. You will be made very welcome. For more photos of Sunday School click here.
