Scottish missionary Jim Legge (1938-2020) served the Lord in Botswana for more than 5 decades with his wife Irene. On a visit back ‘home’ to Scotland in 2008 he felt a burden to share a word of testimony about how the Lord had called him and his wife into full time missionary service and had worked through them to see souls saved and assemblies planted in Africa. This recording of that meeting will touch your heart and stir your soul as you listen to a veteran missionary telling of the challenges and joys of pioneer gospel work in far off fields, including learning a new language, adjusting to a new culture, and labouring night and day for the Lord. Jim’s wife Irene went home to heaven suddenly one day in 2018. The very challenging photo above shows the aftermath of that day’s car accident; a nearby field covered in gospel tracts that had been in the boot of the Legge’s car, ready for distribution. Will you take up the challenge and spread the gospel near and far while you have opportunity? Only one life, ’twill soon be passed, only what’s done for Christ will last.
