Tom Meekin (1947-2017) was saved as a young lad. Once baptised and in assembly fellowship, it was soon clear that the Lord had given Tom a gift to communicate the Word of God both in ministry and the gospel. From 1972 to 1981, Tom and his wife Sally served the Lord in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Upon returning to Northern Ireland, Tom continued to be used as an assembly overseer and one who travelled widely ministering the truth of God. At the Easter Conference in Belfast in 2011, before a large crowd gathered in the Ulster Hall, Tom rose to his feet to give the last word of ministry at the conference on the subject “time is short”. A challenging word, well worth a listen. Readings: Esther 4:13-14, 1 Chron 12:23, 32, Eph 5:14-16, Rom 13:11-14.
